Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed to improve the aesthetic appearance and/or function of the nose. It covers many interventions such as removing a dorsal hump, reshaping the tip, narrowing or widening the nostrils, and adjusting length.

Prof. Dr. Yalçınkaya plans an individualized operation for every patient based on facial proportions and personal expectations. In suitable cases, the closed technique, with incisions made inside the nostrils, may be planned.

  • Removing a dorsal hump
  • Raising / lowering / reshaping the nasal tip
  • Narrowing the nostrils
  • Raising the nasal bridge
  • Revision (secondary) rhinoplasty

Closed Technique Rhinoplasty

In closed technique rhinoplasty, all incisions are made inside the nostrils. The choice of technique is made at the examination based on nasal structure and expectations.

Prof. Dr. Yalçınkaya prefers this technique in suitable cases; when the open technique is needed, it is planned instead.

  • Incisions are made inside the nostrils
  • Recovery varies from person to person
  • Return to social life is usually possible in the 2nd week
  • Aesthetic and functional concerns are assessed together

Prominent Ear Surgery (Otoplasty)

"Prominent ears," where the ears sit too far from the head, can be corrected with otoplasty. It can be performed on both adults and school-age children.

The surgery is usually performed through a small incision behind the ear, reshaping the ear cartilage. Recovery varies from person to person.

  • Ideal age for children: 5-6 (after ear development is complete)
  • Can be performed at any age in adults
  • Local or general anesthesia
  • The time to return to daily life is shared at the examination

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Sagging, bags and excess skin on the upper or lower eyelids can be corrected with blepharoplasty. Functional blepharoplasty is applied both for aesthetic concerns and when eyelid sagging obstructs vision.

As an ENT and head and neck surgery specialist, Prof. Dr. Yalçınkaya can plan this surgery in combination with rhinoplasty or otoplasty when appropriate.

  • Upper eyelid sagging and excess skin removal
  • Lower eyelid bag and dark circle correction
  • Functional blepharoplasty (vision obstruction)
  • Short procedure under local anesthesia

Hair Mesotherapy

Hair mesotherapy is a method applied to the scalp with micro-injections. Who the procedure is suitable for is assessed at the examination, depending on the cause of hair loss and the person's general health.

The causes underlying hair loss (such as nutrition, hormonal and thyroid problems) should be investigated first. The decision for the procedure is made after the examination, and results may vary from person to person.

  • Eligibility assessment at the examination
  • Micro-injection method on the scalp
  • The session plan is determined individually

Nasal Health Treatments

Comprehensive treatments from breathing difficulties to sinusitis, from allergies to nasal tissue overgrowth.

Deviated Septum (Septoplasty)

A deviated septum, caused by the nasal partition shifting off the midline, can lead to breathing difficulty, sleep apnea and snoring.

Septoplasty does not change the external appearance of the nose; only the internal cartilage and bone are corrected. It can be combined with rhinoplasty in the same session.

  • Significantly improves breathing
  • Reduces recurrent sinusitis and nosebleeds
  • Improves sleep quality
  • Can be performed simultaneously with rhinoplasty

Sinusitis Treatment & Sinus Surgery

When chronic sinusitis doesn't respond to antibiotic treatment or is caused by polyps, surgical intervention may be required. Endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) clears nasal polyps and restores sinus drainage.

  • Endoscopic nasal polyp surgery
  • Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS)
  • Surgical treatment option for chronic sinusitis
  • Rhinitis and nasal polyposis treatments

Snoring Treatment & Surgery

Snoring isn't just a sleep disturbance, it affects your partner's rest, signals underlying airway issues, and can impact your overall health. Surgical or non-surgical options are offered depending on the cause.

  • Correcting internal nasal anatomy (septoplasty, turbinate reduction)
  • Soft palate surgery (uvulopalatopharyngoplasty)
  • Adenoid and tonsil surgery
  • Sleep apnea evaluation

Ear Diseases & Surgery

Comprehensive diagnosis and treatment covering ear infections, hearing loss, tinnitus and otosclerosis.

Ear Tubes & Chronic Otitis

Middle ear fluid buildup and chronic ear infections, common especially in children, can be treated with ear tube placement. In chronic middle ear infection (chronic otitis), tympanoplasty may be performed to close the tympanic membrane.

  • Ear tube (ventilation tube) placement in children
  • Chronic otitis surgery (tympanoplasty)
  • Eardrum repair
  • Cholesteatoma surgery

Tinnitus & Dizziness

Tinnitus and vertigo (dizziness) are important symptoms that should be evaluated by an ENT specialist. Medical or surgical treatment is planned based on the underlying cause.

  • Tinnitus evaluation and medical treatment
  • Vestibular disorders (benign positional vertigo)
  • Meniere's disease management
  • Hearing tests (audiometry, tympanometry)

Throat, Voice & Pediatric ENT

Comprehensive treatments from tonsils and adenoids to vocal cord issues and pediatric ENT surgeries.

Tonsil & Adenoid Surgery

Tonsillectomy is recommended for children with recurrent tonsillitis or excessive tonsil growth. Enlarged adenoids behind the nose can make it harder to breathe and hear clearly, and are treated with adenoidectomy.

  • Tonsillectomy for recurrent acute tonsillitis
  • Adenoidectomy
  • Combined tonsil + adenoid surgery
  • Can also be performed in adults

Vocal Cord Disorders

Hoarseness, vocal fatigue and changes in voice quality can originate from the vocal cords. Microlaryngoscopy is used to identify vocal cord nodules, polyps or cysts, which can be surgically removed when necessary.

  • Reinke's edema treatment
  • Functional voice disorder evaluation
